Rocky Mountain Tour - Parents Edition

In typical Faller-family fashion, this post contains links to many many pictures. We tend to take a lot. ;)

We had a fabulous weekend. My parents flew in on Thursday evening and stayed through Sunday night. Friday, I showed my parents around downtown Boulder. Click here to see pictures of our stroll down Pearl Street.

On Saturday, the four of us toured the Rockies by driving up Boulder Canyon to Nederland, and then we took Peak to Peak Highway North. Along the way, we stopped at the trailhead for Brainard Lake (which typically you can drive through in the summer, but it's closed until the snow melts).

After that, we stopped at Peacefull Valley Ranch in the mountains between Lyons and Estes Park to show my parents a wedding venue we're considering. Peaceful Valley is an authentic dude ranch, with a beautiful mountain top ceremony site overlooking the Continental Divide.

From there, we drove to Lily Lake, and then into Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. We had quite the variety of weather conditions ...from overcast and windy, to light fluffy snow, and deceptively sunny skies. We were happy my parents could experience it all, and they soon saw why it's so important to check the weather every day! Click here to see pictures of our Rocky Mountain Tour.

M&D, thanks for making the trip out! We had a blast with you guys and are looking forward to the next visit. (Note, the above links contain some pictures taken by my dad on his camera...like father, like daughter.)
